Vermont hunter cited for animal cruelty in dog shooting
JERICHO, Vt. — Fifty-eight-year-old Richard T. Blondin Jr. is
accused of shooting a 3-year-old German shepherd while on the dog
owner's property during muzzleloader season.
The dog was
shot near Snipe Island Road, a public highway. The shot from a black
powder rifle was fired from nearby Nashville Road. The hunter
is facing a charge of animal cruelty.
