A hunter's assumption that a family's dog was a coyote has left
that dog dead from a gunshot wound in Jericho, Vt.
According
to Saturday's Burlington Press, Richard T. Blondin Jr. is facing a
charge of animal cruelty for shooting a family's German shepherd
with a black powder rifle.
According to the Vermont State
Police, the three-year-old dog belonged to Bruce Jacobs.
Tragically, the dog was on Jacob's property at the time of the
shooting; Blondin had fired the shot from Nashville Road, which is
near the property.
