LA: Marksville man accused of illegally hunting gators

September 10, 2013

From TheTownTalk.com

Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Enforcement Division agents cited a Marksville man for alleged alligator hunting violations.
Agents cited Ray Ussery, 62, for allegedly violating alligator tagging requirements and taking alligators from an unapproved alligator hunting area last Thursday.
On Thursday morning, agents observed Ussery take an alligator from the Grassy Lake WMA without using an alligator tag, authorities reported.  Later in the morning, agents observed Ussery take two alligators on the Richard K. Yancey WMA, which is an unapproved area for taking alligators.
Agents found two more alligators in Ussery’s vessel and three more on lines that belonged to Ussery on the Richard K. Yancey WMA.
