NV: Court orders hunter pay fine in unlawful antelope killing

July 8, 2014

From ElkoDaily.com

ELKO — A Spring Creek man was ordered Monday to forfeit his gun and pay $1,500 in fees for illegally shooting an antelope in August.

Bryan Iverson pleaded no contest to a poaching charge and the district attorney’s office agreed to file the charge as a gross misdemeanor instead of a low-category felony.

District Judge Al Kacin ordered Iverson pay $1,000 in court fees and $500 in a civil penalty, and ordered the defendant to give up the gun he used to shoot the antelope buck.
