1. Got High Cholesterol? Go Vegan!

According to a study published this month in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition people who eat plant-based diets have lower cholesterol levels than those who eat animal products. Researchers examined data and blood samples from 1,694 participants from the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition-Oxford (EPIC) study and concluded that those who ate a vegan diet consumed the most fiber, the least total fat and saturated fat, and had the healthiest body weight and cholesterol levels, of all the diet groups (including vegetarians).

It makes sense that when we replace animal products --which contain cholesterol-- with plant-based foods --which don’t contain cholesterol-- our cholesterol levels lower to a healthy level promoting heart health. Indeed, a vegan diet is God’s ideal for us.

3. 9 Million Pounds of Meat Recalled

The staggering figure of 9 million is the number of pounds of meat recalled processed by Rancho Feeding Corp. in Petaluma, CA. It turns out that this meat was uninspected and produced between Jan, 2013 and Jan, 2014. A whole year’s worth of meat supply!

Please visit 9 million pounds of beef recalled, USDA reasoning is suspect.

The meat of abused cows ended up as waste. This adds insult to injury, since there really is no need to victimize God’s animals in the first place.

Hopefully, this case will help more people realize that our animal-based food system is corrupted and doesn’t contribute to the healing and reconciliation.

We live in a world were much victimization takes place, which can be very disheartening. However, we should always try to stay positive and to do our best to bring healing and reconciliation to Earth, because our efforts do make a difference in us and those around us.

The Bible tells us in the book of Genesis that God prescribed a plant-based diet for us, since everything we need can be obtained from plants. Today’s rates of cancer and other chronic diseases indicate that it is wise to stick to only eating plant-based foods and encourage others to do so.
