The absurdity of an obesity vaccine
They call it the “new weapon” against the obesity epidemic. Researchers have found that rats that were given a vaccine against a "hunger hormone" called ghrelin, were able to live the dream of eating what they wanted without packing on body fat. Even though these preliminary results cannot yet be extrapolated to humans, scientists speculate that a similar vaccine could help people obtain a healthy weight.

obesity.vaccine.reut/index.htmlHowever, as stewards of God’s creation, we should realize that the answer is not in a vaccine, even though it might come helpful to many people. The answer is in taking care of our bodies by eating a healthy plant-based diet, in addition to exercising regularly and not smoking. Moreover, an “obesity vaccine” will not solve any of the issues related to intensive modern agriculture such as the toll it’s taking in our bodies, the environment, and the suffering of animals raised for food.
