Chinese river dolphin extinct
After the expedition to find river dolphins in China ended last month
without even one sighting, scientists believe these dolphins might be
extinct. Development, overfishing and shipping are thought to be the
culprits. August Pfluger, chief executive of the baiji.org Foundation
said, "If there are maybe one or two or three left in the river, we
don't believe that they have any chance to survive. We were obviously
too late. For me, it's a tragedy in terms of conservation. We lost the
race."

Sometimes it’s too late for us to reverse the damage we are causing
in God’s Creation. Our lifestyle has a great impact on the Earth’s
resources and God’s animals. We are called to witness and reflect the
love of God for all Creation, and a plant-based diet helps us to do so.
