Toxic Whale Meat
Health officials have found alarming high levels of mercury (more than 10 times the advised) in whale meat served in school lunches in rural Japan. Hisato Ryono, an assemblyman in Taiji, shared his concern and said that although whaling will not be stopped, at least they want to test whale meat before it is shipped to schools nationwide.

Whaling, in this case, is not only bringing misery to whales, but also to innocent children who have been exposed to high levels of mercury. Causing suffering to God’s animals and not taking care of our health is not honoring God’s Creation.
