Possible Emission Rules Exemptions for Farms

Once again, factory farming might get away with contributing to environmental destruction without consequences. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates that two-thirds of the ammonia emissions reported in the U.S. are generated by farmed animal facilities and are hazardous to human health. However, pressured by agribusiness lobbyists and legislators from agriculture-oriented states, the EPA has proposed ending this requirement, since the Agency argues that the reports are not used by local authorities and therefore are unnecessary.

The effects on human health, the suffering of God’s animals and the environmental destruction caused by factory farming should be enough reasons for consumers to stop supporting animal agriculture. We must remember that generations to come are the ones who are going to pay for our actions, especially, when humanity realizes that we passed a point of no return
