Christian Vegetarian Association Presents:
Take Heart!

1 Corinthians 6:19-20
(RSV)

Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God? You are not your own; you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

We are products of God’s creativity and love; and therefore, our essence is also one of love. By taking care of our bodies, we are glorifying our Creator.

It helps to be reminded that although our bodies certainly mortal and ultimately will decay, we are still called to take care of them in a way that honors God. One aspect of this, I think, is mindful eating.

============

Taking care of our bodies, temples of the Holy Spirit, by adopting a compassionate plant-based diet is a great way to glorify our Creator! It not only helps us prevent and reverse diseases, but also helps alleviate the suffering of God's animals and restore the environment. It's a win-win situation!

By taking care of our bodies we are honoring and obeying God. Our choice of diet is an important one since it affects God's animals, our health and the environment.

We are God's temple! Our Creator lives in us and what we do in our bodies is part of our worship to Him/Her. We are called to not only abstain from impurity, but we are called to glorify God in our bodies. Adopting a balanced plant-based diet honors God by showing compassion and mercy to God's animals and helping us stay healthier.
