1 in 200 Kids Is Vegetarian
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) have released results from the
first government study stating that about 1 in 200 children is
vegetarian in the US. Others studies indicate the figures are much
higher, 4 to 6 times in teenagers since they have more control over what
they eat. According to Richard Schwartz, president of Jewish Vegetarians
of North America, “Compassion for animals is the major, major reason”
children choose a vegetarian diet.

It is encouraging news to learn that more and more children are
choosing a plant-based diet, especially on the grounds of compassion.
These children will hopefully accomplish what so many of us strive for:
