Animal Agriculture and Global Warming
Although there is still a great debate on how to curb greenhouse
gases, the evidence that animal agriculture is the greatest contributor
to global warming surpassing the global transportation sector by a
significant margin, is undeniable. The positive effects of giving up
meat even just once a week have been studied by scientists who concluded
that switching to a vegan diet has a bigger impact than trading in a gas
automobile for a hybrid. Results also show that the average American
would do less for the planet by switching to a totally local diet than
by going vegetarian one day a week.
