Are Mushrooms a Good Source of Vitamin B12?

In spite of the rumor that mushrooms are a good source of vitamin B12, vegans should not rely on them for their source of B12. New studies suggest that although mushrooms do contain small amounts of B12, they are unable to synthesize it, but just absorb tiny amounts from fecal matter in the soil. It would take anywhere from 7 to 326 cups of mushrooms to meet the RDA. To read the full article please search online for B12 Analogue in Mushrooms.
