A Happy Ending
Angelo, a newborn lamb, was rescued even as his mother was led to a Bronx slaughterhouse last week. The lamb was rescued by Ms. Rexhaj who noticed that Angelo, an infant, was at risk of being trampled or left behind to starve. Ms. Rexhaj pleaded the truck driver to leave the lamb with her after he denied to her request to try reuniting the mother with her lamb. How miserably we treat God's animals! Because of humanity's desire for cheap meat, dairy and eggs we deny farmed animals even the basic God-given instincts and rights, such as to take care of their offspring.
