Brazil to Stop More of the Amazon Deforestation
Cattle ranches that are among the chief culprits of the Amazon's deforestation and Brazil took a step forward in protecting the rainforest by monitor more than 15,000 cattle ranches by satellite. These ranches if identified via the satellite images as illegally claiming forested land to expand their pastures will be unable to obtain a permit enabling them to transport their cattle to slaughterhouses.

Hopefully these measures to stop the destruction of the Amazon forest will be enforced. However, as long as factory farms and cattle ranches keep proliferating, the need to destroy grassland and forests to make room for grazing animals or to grow crops to feed them will also grow. It’s the transition to a plant-based diet one way that will help humanity help restore God's Creation.
