Is Eating Meat Ethical?

Once again, Bruce Friedrich, VP of policy for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), engaged in an ethical debate on eating meat. This time it was with Alex Taubes, President of the BU Debate Society. According the writer of this piece, Bruce Friedrich, presented the 3 main convincing ethical arguments against meat eating - suffering of farmed animals, environmental devastation and global poverty - with clarity and facts.

Meat eating, unnecessary for most of us, carries tremendous implications for all of God’s Creation, and therefore, tremendous implications regarding our Faith. As stewards of God’s Creation we are called to take care of the Earth and its inhabitants, following Christ’s teachings of compassion, mercy and love.
