Making a Case for Veganism More Effectively

Ginny Kisch Messina, MPH, RD, writes an interesting article on the compelling reasons to adopt a plant-based diet. She believes that making a case for veganism on solely health reasons is not enough for most people and might actually lead to pitfalls or to a short-lived change in diet. Moreover, Kisch Messina suggests avoiding the word "strict" when referring to a plant-based diet. Making an ethical case for veganism seems to be the most effective way to encourage people to adopt a plant-based diet.

Transition to a plant-based diet has countless benefits for all of God’s Creation: humans, animals and the environment. It is definitely important to note that a vegetarian diet is one way to actively participate in the reconciliation of God’s Creation.
