Are Humans “True” Omnivores?
This is a very clear and explanatory article about humans’ physiology
and diet. Stephen Augustine does a fantastic job at pointing out the
anatomical aspects that indicate we are closer to herbivores than to
natural omnivores in regards to our dentition, the length of our
intestines and stomach acidy among many others. He rightly states: “Even
if humans are adaptable omnivores we can still choose to eat vegan.
Vegan choices are ethically the right choice, ideal for our health, and
far better for the health of the planet.”
