Agnostic Carnism
The most prominent environmentalists seem to be avoiding the unavoidable: animal agriculture produces more greenhouse gases than all transportation combined. James McWilliam, writer of this article, explores the many reasons why in his words, most environmentalist remain "agnostic" about meat, and care more about the what stance creates more of a media audience (opposing the drilling of oil vs. raising cows), etc.

It’s against common sense, scientific evidence, ethics and our faith to continue supporting the animal agriculture industry.
