Sir Paul McCartney On French Decree Over School Lunches

Much debate has followed after a new decree was issued by the French government stating that there will be no meat-free days in French schools and that all students will have to eat meat if they want lunch at school, as taking a packed lunch is not an alternative because they are also banned. Sir Paul McCartney along with other celebrities are exposing this injustice. He said, "The French Government's recent decree effectively enforcing the consumption of animal products in public institutions is a backward step for France. It goes against the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union by prohibiting individuals' right to express their beliefs."

It seems unbelievable that in this day and age the choice to alleviate suffering, restore the health of the planet and bring healing to our world is being taken away in France. Hopefully, the French government will realize what a backward decision they've made. They should not only allow veg options at school but also recognize the benefits of a plant-based diet for all of God's Creation.
