Christian Vegetarian Association Presents:
Take Heart!
Let’s Move Toward Meatless the Way We Have Moved Toward Smokeless

Neal Barnard, MD, President of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, explains why cafeterias should be meatless as well as smokeless. He also points that in spite of the abundant evidence indicating that vegan diets prevent and reverse many of the most common diseases, members of Congress are still reluctant to move toward plant-based diets with the same vehemence they regard non-smoking policies.

Smoking has been recognized as dangerous for one’s health; however, in spite of the dangers of saturated fat, cholesterol, antibiotics, hormones and acidic protein, animal diets are still endorsed by Congress. This reminds us once again that we should not rely on our government in order to make mindful decisions. Instead, we should make them based on our innermost values, our Faith, and on scientific evidence, which all direct us to well-balanced, compassionate and sustainable plant-based diets.
