Cal-Maine, the largest egg producer in the U.S., is once again in
trouble. They will pay $28 million to settle federal antitrust
claims. Cal-Maine allegedly tried to increase egg process by killing
off young chicks and egg-laying hens in order to artificially reduce
egg supply.

This is a clear example of how the animal-based agriculture
system regards animals as simple tools for profit. The unnecessary
killing of God's animals should cause us to deeply examine our
choices and should lead us to firmly object supporting such
industries. There is no room for cruelty and indifference if we live
by Christ's teachings.
