A new color, purple this time,
in the global warming charts is of extreme concern to scientists.
This new purple “replaces red at about a 2C rise over current levels
to indicate extreme risks to many unique and threatened human and
natural systems.” According to the draft, the costs of adapting to
climate change by 2050 will rise to $75-$100 billion a year and the
negative consequences on humans and other species will be grave.
More will be known when the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate
Change (IPCC) report comes out in 2014.

Global warming is a real threat to God’s Creation. Many
will continue to suffer the consequences of our actions in this
regard unless we quickly turn the tide around, paying close
attention to the fact that animal-base agriculture contributes to
global warming more than all transportation combined.
