The U.S. is the second meat consumer per capita in the word
(after Luxemburg) but the trend is losing popularity. Meat
consumption has been decreasing steadily in the last decade and
meatless meals have been gaining popularity thanks to celebrities,
politicians, physicians, environmentalists, religious leaders and
business people speaking up about the benefits of plant-based diets.
Peak meat: is meat consumption falling out of style in the U.S.?
The decline in meat consumption in the U.S. is a very good sign
that there’s more awareness about the health, environmental and
ethical issues linked to raising God’s animals for food. Let’s keep
waking in the direction of compassion, peace and sustainability.
