Christian Vegetarian Association Presents:
Take Heart!
Don’t Tell Me What to Do

This is an interesting piece depicting the attitude of many people in regards to the consequences of their choices. These people, when exposed to the suffering of humans and non-human animals, claim that their choices are personal and must be respected. This seems to be the excuse when they are exposed to the suffering of close to 60 billion land animals every day, who are raised for food with much pain and terror.

Please visit Don't tell me what to do.

I have encountered the “don’t tell me what to do” numerous times just vacationing with family and relatives. I think that people’s guilt in learning the tremendous suffering they cause simply for taste and convenience catalyze a defensive mode that results in ‘it’s a personal choice” argument. Indeed, we cannot force people into doing anything, but we can teach them, educate them, inspire them, challenge them, and especially showing them what compassion and love look like in order to for them to hopefully change their mind and make choices that cause as little suffering in all of God’s Creation.
