Increased Breast Cancer Survival with Plant-Based Diet

Plant-based eating seems to increase the survival of breast cancer patients according to the World Cancer Research Fund International's Continuous Update Project. A review of 85 studies with 164,416 participants diagnosed with breast cancer concluded that eating more high-fiber plant foods before and after diagnosis may reduce the risk of dying from breast cancer.

Moreover, women who consume more soy after their diagnosis have a lower risk of dying, while women who consumed more saturated fat before their diagnosis had a higher risk of dying.
