In Reference to: Anthropomorphism and Sentimentality: Flawed Rhetoric Harming Animals
Sir,
Great article on anthropomorphism & sentimentalism. This article encouraged me to resume my efforts to stop the war on snakes here in Frisco Tx.
This past summer a Dallas TV station ran a spot on the exploding rat population in Frisco and no wonder. I tried to convince our HOA not to have the gardeners kill every snake they see. I was told that “the only good snake is a dead snake.” I’m now known as “the kook from California” who wants to ban leaf blowers and live in a snake pit.
Thanks for the article. I’ll try once more to educate.
