Dear Joyce, you are so right. People who are "damaged" such as psychopaths are not responsible for their actions. Thank you for clearing that up.
The ones who are relatively normal but who continue to eat meat, thereby paying someone to kill animal babies/mothers, are the ones who trouble me especially if they are ministers who should be teaching the truth to their flock about taking the lives of others without a thought.
Sometimes I wonder if most meat-eating Christians strive to feed the hungry, clothe the poor, do charity work, attend church regularly, be a good person otherwise, etc - because they know they are not acting Godly and it is their way of compensating for their hardness of heart towards the voiceless ones. If I paid others to kill living beings for my dinner I would feel saddened and ashamed and perhaps I would go to church and pray a lot, because in the deepest part of my heart (even though I would not outwardly admit it it and I would make many excuses for it) I would Always Know that it is just so wrong and unmerciful.
