Citation: At approximately 0900 hours while performing a scheduled sanitation performance task the following noncompliance was observed. On the slaughter floor above the “knock box” and the hoist several spider webs were observed. This is a violation of the afore mentioned regulation which states;” 416.1 Each official establishment must be operated and maintained in a manner sufficient to prevent the creation of insanitary conditions and to ensure that product is not adulterated.416.4 b) Non-food-contact surfaces of facilities, equipment, and utensils used in the operation of the establishment must be cleaned and sanitized as frequently as necessary to prevent the creation of insanitary conditions and the adulteration of product.’ No product was involved. Mr. [redacted] II, was informed verbally and in writing with this document of the need for corrective action A review of available plant records show no action on this noncompliance and a review of the noncompliance record indicate no recent noncompliances of this nature.

Regulation:

416.1 Each official establishment must be operated and maintained in a manner sufficient to prevent the creation of insanitary conditions and to ensure that product is not adulterated.

416.4(b) Non-food-contact surfaces of facilities, equipment, and utensils used in the operation of the establishment must be cleaned and sanitized as frequently as necessary to prevent the creation of insanitary conditions and the adulteration of product.
