Address: Rt. 706, Wyalusing PA 18853
Establishment No.: m09400

USDA Inspection Report: 19 Nov 2010

Code: 06D02
Violation: 416.2(b)(3)

Citation: While verifying that a non ambulatory animal that fell in the serpentine chute was humanely euthanized and its carcass was properly disposed of, I found a noncompliance with establishment 9400 grounds and facilities construction. A large overhead door separating the pens from the blood pit area of the dressing floor has an approximately four foot high from the floor section of plastic "gasket" on the left side of the door frame ripped, torn and shredded. The wooden door frame near the floor and above for an approximate foot has an approximately two inch wide area missing and splintered. This is a result of cattle carcasses and winch cables being "scraped" across it leaving an obvious approximately three inch space between the door and the frame. Pens Supervisor Mr. [redacted] was notified of the noncompliance. This document serves as notification that your failure to comply with regulatory requirement(s) could result in additional regulatory or administrative action.

416.2(b)(3) Walls, floors, ceilings, doors, windows, and other outside openings must be constructed and maintained to prevent the entrance of vermin, such as flies, rats, and mice.
