Citation: At approximately 1115 hours on the 17th of March, while performing ISP 04B01 procedure, the following was observed in the Freezer 1: *Three boxes of meat products had no identified product or labeled as such on the boxes. The aforementioned items were on the plastic pallet left corner of the entrance door to the freezer. [redacted] slaughter supervisor, was informed of the noncompliance. Subsequently, all boxes were labeled. This is a failure of 9CFR 316.13(a) and 317.1. Past Similar NR: 5-2011 dated 2/7/2011 - Your Previous Ineffective Plant Actions: "the driver who places the items there was made aware all products coming into the plant for storage must be identified".

Regulation:

316.13(a) Except as otherwise provided in part 325 of this subchapter, when any inspected and passed product for domestic commerce is moved from an official establishment, the outside container shall bear an official inspection legend as prescribed in part 312 of this subchapter.

317.1(a) When, in an official establishment, any inspected and passed product is placed in any receptacle or covering constituting an immediate container, there shall be affixed to such container a label as described in 317.2 except that the following do not have to bear such a label.
