Citation: At approx 01045, after the plant had finished with their slaughter operations, the IIC and Dr. [redacted] along with plant owner Barry Smith toured the plant's facilities and found the following deficiencies: Some of the wall tiles on the kill floor had some cracks and mortar missing. The drain lid on the kill floor was broken. All items of concern were shown to Plant owner Barry Smith who was present when items were found.


416.2(b)(1) Construction. Establishment buildings, including their structures, rooms, and compartments must be of sound construction, be kept in good repair, and be of sufficient size to allow for processing, handling, and storage of product in a manner that does not result in product adulteration or the creation of insanitary conditions.
