Citation: On 04/25/2011, District DVMS [redacted] visited this establishment and noted the following potential hazards:  Leading down from the livestock unloading dock, the overhead door has no protective covering on the bottom of the door. Also, on the unloading dock, there is a metal bumper that has a bend and crack on the surface. Dr. [redacted] observed the unloading of animals and saw no injuries as a result of these concerns.


313.1(b) Floors of livestock pens, ramps, and driveways shall be constructed and maintained so as to provide good footing for livestock. Slip resistant or waffled floor surfaces, cleated ramps and the use of sand, as appropriate, during winter months are examples of acceptable construction and maintenance.
