Violation: 416.1, 416.2(b)(2), 416.4(b)
Citation: At approximately 0810 hours, while touring the plant with SCSI the following noncompliance was observed. Multiplible overhead insulated pipes above food contact and non food contact areas was observed in an unsatisfactory condition. Upon reviewing the paperwork ( SPS # 9A) for last week's overhead cleaning was found completed and verified on 7/15/2011 by both sanitation foreman , Mr. and quality assurance. Last week's overhead cleaning schedule was from lung gun area to wall. Several of the pipes observed was in the area already completed and verified last week. Mr. (Plant Manager) was notified of the noncompliance. At approximately 0940 hours, Mr. and Mr. (Sanitation Manager) toured the plant with me and I showed them the areas of the noncompliance. This is the direct violation of 9 CFR 416.1, 416.4(b), 416.2(b)(2), as well as the plant's own SPS plan, SPS # 9A.
416.1 Each official establishment must be operated and maintained in a manner sufficient to prevent the creation of insanitary conditions and to ensure that product is not adulterated.
416.2(b)(2) Walls, floors, and ceilings within establishments must be built of durable materials impervious to moisture and be cleaned and sanitized as necessary to prevent adulteration of product or the creation of insanitary conditions.
416.4(b) Non-food-contact surfaces of facilities, equipment, and utensils used in the operation of the establishment must be cleaned and sanitized as frequently as necessary to prevent the creation of insanitary conditions and the adulteration of product.
