Citation: On July 15th, 2010, at approximately 702 am, I performed a presentation verification (ISP Code 06D02) at the second inspection station on the west evisceration line. At a line speed of birds per minute, presentation failed with a ten bird nonconformance weight of 44. This failure consisted of 3 contamination on viscera (6 nonconformance factors), 1 membrane (2 nonconformance factors), & 4 contamination inside bird (6 nonconformance factors). I immediately notified , Evisceration Supervisor of the establishments failure to meet regulatory requirements, I also requested that QA be notified and perform presentation retests. After the QA failed two consecutive retests the line speed was reduced tobpm. The establishment decided to keep the west line speed atbpm until a change of lot. Establishment management has received oral & written communication regarding this non-compliance. Continued failure to meet regulatory requirements could result in additional enforcement action as described in 9 CFR 500. Past Similar NRs - Previous Ineffective Plant Actions: Eviscerator machine adjustments will continue to be made. NR: 78-2010 dated 7/8/2010
