Citation: On 12/29/2010, at approximately 06:41 hours, I performed a presentation verification (ISP Code 06D02) at the first inspection station on the West Evisceration line. At a line speed of birds per minute (bpm), presentation failed with a 10 bird total non conformance weight of This failure consisted of 1 No Viscera (20 nonconformance factors), 2 Membrane (2 nonconformance factors each) & 2 Contamination inside bird (6 nonconformance factors each). I immediately notified , Evisceration group leader, of the establishments failure to meet regulatory requirements, I also requested that QA perform presentation retests. QA failed the retest at 06:51 hours and the line speed was reduced to birds per minute (bpm). Plant stated that they would remain atbpm until heavier birds are finished. At 11:55 hours Dr. performed a presentation verification (ISP Code 06D02) at the first inspection station on the East evisceration line. At a line speed ofbpm, presentation failed with a 10 bird total nonconformance weight of 6. This failure consisted of 3 Membranes (2 nonconformance factors each). He informed , Evisceration group leader, of the establishments failure to meet regulatory requirements, Dr. also requested that QA perform presentation retest. Past Similar NRs - Previous Ineffective Plant Actions: Plant has not responded yet to the last NR issued for presentation. NR: 112-2010 dated 12/21/2010

Regulation:

381.76(b) The Administrator determines that the establishment has the intent and capability to operate at line speeds greater than 70 birds per minute, and meets all the facility requirements in 381.36(d).
