B.C. Natural Chicken
Address: 2609 U.S. Rt 22, Fredricksburg, PA 17026
Establishment No.: p493
USDA Inspection Report: 27 Jul 2011
Citation: At approximately 1000 hours, while performing an unscheduled 06D01, I observed the following in the tote wash room: Condensation on all the overhead pipes and parts of the ceiling and a steady drip from a section of the ceiling where two tiles were removed. The condensation was dripping onto the sleeves and gloves which were stored by the wall. I took regulatory control action by tagging the room with US Rejected Tag #B39801569. I contacted (QA Tech) and (Packing Supervisor) of the noncompliance. Mrs. informed me that she would stop product from moving through the room. At approximately 1100 hours, (CSI) was informed the area was ready. However, she found a stainless steel pipe was uncovered and still dripping water, and in addition water was dripping from the light near the tote washer. There was plastic appropriately hung across the ceiling in multiple areas. She remained in the area until sanitary conditions were restored and released the area at approximately 1120 hours. This is a violation of 9 CFR 416.2(b)(2) and 416.2(d). The establishment has received both written and oral notification of this noncompliance. Failure to meet regulatory requirements could result in additional administrative action as described in 9 CFR part 500. Please see NR# 92-2011 dated 07/08/2011 for preventative measures which were either not implemented or were ineffective.
416.2(b)(2) Walls, floors, and ceilings within establishments must be built of durable materials impervious to moisture and be cleaned and sanitized as necessary to prevent adulteration of product or the creation of insanitary conditions.
