Citation: At approximately 09:30 pm I ask the Quality Assurance Employee if she found the SSOP book yet for me. responded "No". I went to the QA office on Tuesday evening Sept.27th 2011 and requested the HACCP and the SSOP book. gave me the HACCP book but could not find any other documentation that I ask for. proceeded to leave a note on a white marker board hanging on the wall requesting Supporting Documents, SSOP, and GMP for the USDA inspector. On Wednesday I came in and ask for the books again and she didn't know where they were. Thursday I ask again and now it is Friday and she does not have them. I told that I have to write up a Noncompliance that they can not produce the information I am requesting, I also explained to her that the records need to be available to me within 24 hours and this is a non-compliance issue. Failure to comply with regulatory requirements could result in additional enforcement action as described in 9 CFR 500.
416.16(c) Records required by this part shall be maintained for at least 6 months and made accesable available to FSIS. All such records shall be maintained at the official establishment for 48 hours following completion, after which they may be maintained off-site provided such records can be made available to FSIS within 24 hours of request.
