Citation: At approximately 11:45pm when perfoorming my SPS scheduled facility check I seen two mice running in and out from under the lockers directly outside of the exit door at the lunchroom.  I pointed the mice out to a group leader .Management was notified immediately.  This NR is being linked from 2/18/2012, same scenario.  The Preventive Measures were "Additional pest control service visits were made for the week of 2/18/12 to ensure these issues were addressed and eliminated.  Continued failure to meet regulatory requirements could result in additional administrative action as described in 9 CFR part 500.

Regulation:

416.2(a) Grounds and pest control. The grounds about an establishment must be maintained to prevent conditions that could lead to insanitary conditions, adulteration of product, or interfere with inspection by FSIS program employees. Establishments must have in place a pest management program to prevent the harborage and breeding of pests on the grounds and within establishment facilities. Pest control substances used must be safe and effective under the conditions of use and not be applied or stored in a manner that will result in the adulteration of product or the creation of insanitary conditions.
