Citation: At approximately1233 hours, while performing a 04C04 ISP Code procedure for Finished Product Standards (Processing Nonconformance) on the Evisceration Line, I exceed the absolute limit of 30. My test results subgroup total was 31, the Processing nonconformance's were four -extraneous material <, one-oil gland-remnant, three-oil gland-whole, one-crop-whole, eight-feathers-small and seven-feathers-large. I immediately notify (Quality Assurance) of my findings. Mr. (First Processing Manager) was also shown the trims nonconformance. Quality Assurance performed a retested for Finished Product Standard processing nonconformance's on the evisceration line at 1222 hours for processing nonconformance's. The validity test performed by Quality Assurance exceeded the Tolerance number of 25 with a total of [redacted] I notify Production Manager and the IIC (SCSI of the failure mode. IIC and Quality Assurance immediately conducted a retest at the post chill location using prechill criteria for the processing nonconformance. Quality Assurance performed retest exceeded the action number of 22 with a total of [redacted] at approximately 1306 hours. Quality Assurance performed retest exceeded the tolerance number of 25 with a total of [redacted] at approximately 1257 hours at the pre-chill station. Quality Assurance performed one retested for Finished Product Standard processing nonconformance's on the evisceration line at approximately 1300 hours and passed. At approximately 1308 hours, the retest exceeded the action number of 22 with a total of [redacted] Quality Assurance performed two consecutive retests for Finished Product Standard processing nonconformance's on the evisceration line at approximately 1314 hours and 1321 hours with both retests passed. Quality Assurance tagged 2 carcasses with tags to mark the end of the failure mode at approximately1332 hours. At approximately 1314 hours, 1324 hours and 1412 hours Quality Assurance performed retests for processing nonconformance at the post chill station and passed. At approximately 1430, the tags came out of the chiller marking the end of the failure mode. USDA and Quality Assurance retained seven tanks of whole carcasses (approximately 2500 carcasses) with USDA Retained Tag B 39 133537, B 39 133533, B 39 133629, B 39 133541, B39 133540, B 39 133539 and B 39 133538 and Quality Assurance Retained Tags from the Post Chill noncompliance. This is a failure to comply with 9 CFR 381.76(b). Establishment management has received oral and written communication concerning this noncompliance. This document serves as a written notification that your failure to comply with regulatory requirement could result in additional enforcement action described in 9 CFR part 500. Past Similar NRs - Previous Ineffective Plant Actions: No response for the establishment at this time. 381.76(b) Presentation: Each inspector shall be flanked by an establishment employee assigned to be the inspector’s helper. The one inspector on the SIS–1 line shall be presented every bird. Each inspector on the SIS–2 line shall be presented every other bird on the line. An establishment employee shall present each bird to the inspector properly eviscerated with the back side toward the inspector and the viscera uniformly trailing or leading. Each inspector shall inspect the inside, viscera, and outside of all birds presented.
