Citation: At approximately 1315 hours, GS-5 Inspector, informed me that she had observed one of the plant employees picking up a duck from the floor and walking behind her and put the duck inside a tank without washing the bird off. I immediately notfied QA Manager, of the failure to meet the regulatory requirements of 9 CFR 416.4 (d) which states: (d) Product must be protected from adulteration during processing, handling, storage, loading, and unloading at and during transportation from official establishments. verbally informed me that she would be having a meeting with the employee to prevent any recurrences. This document serves as written notification that your failure to meet the regulatory requirements could result in additional regulatory or administrative action.

Regulation:

416.4(d) Product must be protected from adulteration during processing, handling, storage, loading, and unloading at and during transportation from official establishments.
