Montgomery Meadows Residential Health Care Facility
2002 Feasibility Study: Report

Operations

Move Medical Service Offices Closer to Residents

Medical service offices include Director of Nurses, Assistant Director of Nurses, Social Services, Medical Director, and possibly Medical Records and clerical services.

All of these offices and services require a close proximity to the residents of Montgomery Meadows. Administrative, reception, and accounting offices and services should be located near the main entrance of the building, as they do not require as much direct contact with the residents.

It has been suggested that more than one social service office should be established in the resident areas, preferably remote from one another in the resident wings or immediately adjacent thereto.

Further study is necessary to determine which medical service offices should be in close proximity to one another and which can or should be remotely situated one from another. Additionally, the space requirements for each medical service office must be established.
