Montgomery Meadows Residential Health Care Facility
2002 Feasibility Study: Report

Adult Day Care

During the feasibility study meetings a need for Adult Day Care was expressed, with a particular need for dementia.

Preliminary internal market studies revealed that there are presently two successful adult day care programs existing in the community. Both programs were full, but there was no information available on future need. There was also no information on how many of the existing day care clients were diagnosed as having dementia, or even if they are capable of handling such day care clients.

In order to determine whether or not there is any real need for Montgomery Meadows to consider initiating an adult day care program, a formal market study should be performed. This would be particularly important if Montgomery Meadows decides to establish an Adult Home with a dementia unit, as this report recommends.
