2002 Feasibility Study:
Report Physical Plant: A. Maintenance and/or Replacements Necessary to Maintain the Status Quo, Including Associated Costs Replace Fire Alarm System The fire alarm system is functional but limited in its expandability. A newer digital system should be installed as part of any major renovation project. A digital system could individually interrogate any individual device leading to more rapid response to the specific location of the alarm, and not just to the zone, as is the case now. Furthermore, such a system could allow signaling to also send coded messages to the phone pager system. The main console of the system should allow for expandability to accommodate the additions to the building. We estimate the cost of such a system to be about $55,000.00 for the present building.
