Animal Rights and Wrongs

Huntington Life Sciences kills about 70,000 animals a year. It really should be Huntington Death Sciences or House of Lucifer and Satan (HLS). I have to say that animal experimentation is totally immoral. The March of Dimes (MoD) have for years collected billions of dollars from innocent people who think they are helping babies with birth defects when their money probably went to senseless animal experiments. (MoD by the way is neutral about abortion.) They should expose what experiments they are doing and plan to do for donors to make educated decisions.

Just because a drug works on animals does not mean that it will work on humans. Remember when thalidomide, a drug once commonly given to pregnant women resulted in severe physical deformities? Animal studies had shown thalidomide to be safe. The polio vaccine which also caused animal sufferage has been questioned. "Specifically, of all the drugs that passed animal tests and were approved for human use, 52 percent caused fatalities or serious and unanticipated adverse effects in people. The Fen-Phen weight loss drug combination, the diabetes drug Rezulin, and many others passed animal tests only to cause serious risks for human patients" (Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine). Vioxx is the latest drug to finally be pulled off the market. Charity organizations such as Easter Seals (whose goal is to prevent birth defects) refuses to experiment on animals. A list of such charity organizations can be found under www.pcrm.org .

Proctor and Gamble also causes suffering to thousands of innocent animals each year for products such as Pampers, Luvs, Folgers, Loving Care, Vidal Sassoon, Tampax, Febreze, Dawn, NyQuil, Crest, Scope, Whitestrips, Noxzema, Ivory, Zest, Iams and Eukanuba. They are victims of painful, archaic and unnecessary product tests all because of extreme fear and the love of money (information taken from In Defense of Animals "Cruelty Never Wants the Spotlight" brochure www.idausa.org ). P&G continues to test on animals despite their knowledge that animal "safety tests" are unreliable. We need to check labels!!

God, Who has compassion on His creatures (see Psalm 145:9), put them in our care to protect. Jesus (who was a radical in His time) overturned the money changers tables for the sale of animals to be sacrificed. (Sounds like today's market.) While causing harm to others isn't good to do to anyone, radical actions need to be done to get through to ignorant, greedy people who will someday be judged by the Creator of us all.

God's Creatures Ministry is committed to spreading God's compassion to all He has made based on The Scriptures. Although we are a Christian Ministry, we encourage all to have their own animal welfare committee in their community. We extend our resources to those who would like to learn more or begin their own God's Creatures Ministry as an extension of us. God created us to have a vegetarian diet and commissioned us to protect His animals. Instead, we have exploited them for our entertainment, fashion, appetite and useless, torturous research. These creatures have the right to live as they were created to live. Because we live IN this world, but are not OF this world, we strive to bring God's mercy and justice to all. We live in God's Kingdom now where Jesus, The Sacrificial Lamb, The Prince of Peace, The Lion of Judah reigns. We look forward to that day when all of creation will be 'set free from slavery to corruption and share in the glorious freedom of the children of God' (Romans 8:21) where a little child will lead and guide God's creatures (see Isaiah 11:5-9).
