Great Apes Abused in Entertainment Industry
Filmmakers who use apes in their productions are promoting a cruel
industry that forces baby animals to perform using “training” methods
such as electric shocks and beatings.
Apes who are too old or ill to perform are not even retired to sanctuaries?they
are sold to tawdry exotic animal exhibits or pseudo-sanctuaries,
where they will be caged and neglected, ensuring suffering for the
rest of their lives. Companies that aim to entertain viewers need
to know that consumers want cruelty-free
