●The government of Seoul is trying to get dogs included among livestock, saying it will lead to humane farming and slaughtering of dogs and sanitary distribution of their meat. This means to legalize dog meat consumption not only in Seoul but across Korea as well.

In Korea a great number of dogs are killed a year for dog meat maniacs. They, together with the press and dog farm owners, argue meat dogs are different from companion dogs. It is nonsense! The reality is that many of companion dogs, lost or abandoned, are sacrificed for dog meat cuisine.

Even a few foreigners living in Korea are backing up dog meat consumption. For instance western and Japanese women appear on a show of KBS, a Korean national terrestrial broadcaster, arguing dog meat is one of Korea’s traditional cultures.

The conditions of dog farms are hellish and, contrary to what the Seoul government asserts, they will go worse, not better, since the numbers of farm dogs will be soon growing once dog meat consumption has been legalized.

The argument of Seoul is ungrounded, which speaks out only for those crazy for dog foods. When he was one of lawmakers, the current mayor of Seoul signed up for the bill to legalize dog meat consumption. He is suspected to be one of the maniacs.
