Welcome to our first newsletter! It is my hope to update you weekly as to the goings on at Habitat For Strays.
Last week, we received a $1500 grant from Community Foundation of the Hudson Valley Cleopatra Fund. This will pay our food bill for one month. Each month, we use 2 tons of litter costing $700. It is necessary that we receive outside funding so we may continue our work.
Theo's Story
Theo is shown on our Lost and Found Animals page with his mother Tulip. He was 3 weeks old at the time the picture was taken. A day after the picture was taken, Theo became very ill and almost died as a result of an adverse reaction to his medication. The night before giving him his meals, I read the accompanying literature for the medication which stated possible side effects and how to treat them. If I had not read that, Theo would not be a ten week old kitten today.

Theo at 10 weeks
The moral of Theo's story is always ask your vet what possible side effects
may occur and how best to respond.
Please check in next week for our next edition and please consider lending us your financial support...We cant't do it without you!
