In Nov.1995, Anthony Marr launched a one-man undercover operation to first investigate the open selling of endangered species medicines in Vancouver's Chinatown, then expose the situation |
to the general public by inviting media, esp. TV, to document his purchas-ing of these internationally banned substances. In May 1996, the Canadian government banned the sale of these medicines. |
In 1997, 1998 and 1999, Anthony Marr conducted three expedition to India, where he worked with Indian conservationist Faiyaz Khudsar and met with Belinda Wright and Ashok Kumar of WPSI. |
In October 1997, Western Canada Wilderness Committee, of which Anthony Marr was a campaign director, put on the first Save-the-Tiger Walk in Vancouver, Canada. |
