Letter from Alice about Terrible Zoo Conditions - 23 Jun 2007

Hello from Norway!

I have recently returned from a trip to Kyoto Japan. I have with me pictures and video taken at the local zoo. What I saw went through my eyes and straight in to my heart. I'm a 55 year old woman who have seen a lot in my life. In front of these animal cages I could only do one thing: cry. They all lived in tiny concrete cells ... the pictures will tell their stories better than my words.

The Japanese people would be able to change the environment for these animals ... I've been to the Japanese aquarium in Osaka! It was amazing! But what I saw in Kyoto were animals that suffered. An Orangutan that has been sitting in his small concrete cage for 27 years. Wild cats with nowhere to go. A polar bear that was apparently going out of its mind.

Where do I go? Who do I write to? Who can make a difference?

Alice

Dear Alice:

Thank you very much for writing and for telling us about your experience in Japan.

The best way we know of to help is to expose the truth to the world over the internet. We are willing to help in any way we can. We can do an animal exploitation section of captive zoo animals, and publish articles, video clips, and photos. You appear to be a good writer and that is a big step toward exposing the truth.

We look forward to hearing back from you.

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank and Mary
